Hi, my name is Lenny and I'd like to help answer any questions you might have about Omnichords or QChords.

Generally, the Omnichord or QChord  can be thought of as an ELECTRONIC AUTOHARP, CHROMAHARP or even as some people refer to it as an ELECTRONIC CHORDED ZITHER.  However, it is even MUCH MORE!!! 

While an autoharp is limited to only 12, 15 or 21 chords which include Major, Minor and Seventh in as many as seven Keys, the QChord can also play Minor Sevenths, Major Sevenths, Diminished and Augmented Chords in all 12 Keys.  It is far easier to play than the Autoharp, has no strings to break or go out of tune and is more versatile with 100 different sounds, built-in rhythm accompaniments and even more which is further explained throughout our website.

Overview

The Suzuki QChord is a musical instrument you can play right away!        

The QChord is a digital electronic instrument with over 100 sounds such as guitar, piano, organ, banjo, and much more.  It has 10 built-in rhythms and accompaniment backgrounds such as country, jazz, waltz, blues, rock, bossanova and more.  As an option, 30 additional rhythms can be added.
 
Playing the QChord is easy!  Just select a rhythm, press chord buttons and tap or strum the words of your favorite songs. You can accompany your singing or even play the melody of a song without having to read a single note!

The QChord is a musical instrument that plays chords, rhythm, and melody. It can sound like a guitar, piano, organ and more. It can play country, jazz, marches, waltzes, Latin and rock rhythms. Other features include a piano-like keyboard and the ability to play fully orchestrated digitally recorded song cartridges that you can strum along with.  Songs can be played at any speed and in any pitch (key) to match your singing range.

Midi Feature!

The QChord has a midi IN and OUT connection.   It transmits midi data on four separate channels as it interfaces with other midi-capable instruments such as keyboards or sound modules.  It can connect to computers for great state-of-the-art functions such as orchestrating, playing and printing musical scores.

The QChord is 19" long, 11" wide, 2" thick and weighs about 5 lbs.

Hard-shell carrying case
A double wall molded case that holds the QChord, batteries and adapter.

12-volt d/c/ adapter

Headphones
The QChord accepts a 1/4" phone plug.  When headphones are used, sound from the internal speaker is blocked.

Amplifier
The QChord accepts a 1/4" phone plug.  Any full-range amplifier will work - even a home stereo.  We have several amplifier options depending on your application.

Music
You can use any music that has words and chord notations to accompany the melody of a song .  Pop's Music has many songs arranged specifically for the QChord.  Contact us for a list of titles and availability.
