The Dunlop Straplok® System brand Strap Retainer System is designed with the artist in mind. 360° groove and ball design allows the unit to rotate without catching. The strap retainers are easy to install and operate. The case hardened steel skin guarantees long life. The same strap can be used with several guitars, as the strap button is interchangeable. Release tested up to 800 lbs. of pull. It will not come loose. Complete set (2 units for instrument and strap) adapts to instrument by replacing existing strap pins & screws with special Straplok® System brand buttons & screws. Two strap attachments are included for your strap. Available in 4 finishes and 4 button styles. Each complete set is blister packaged. |

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To Install the
Strap Button on your instrument:
1) Remove the existing strap button.
2) Drill a hole 1/8" in diameter and 1" deep at the place you want
your strap button to be.
3) Insert the screw (7) into the strap button (6).
4) Screw button carefully into your instrument.
To Assemble the
Attachment onto your strap:
1) Slip the locking pin (1) through the recessed washer (2).
2) Insert the locking pin and recessed washer (1 & 2) through the hole in
your strap. The strap should sit flush against the recessed washer at the wider
area of the locking pin. If the hole in your strap is not large enough, you will
need to make it larger.
3) Slip the flat washer (4) over the locking pin.
4) Snap the retainer clip (5) into the small shank groove on the locking pin.
The retainer clip fits snugly into this groove.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To Lock: While pressing in the button in the center of the strap attachment, place the attachment into the button. Release the button when the unit is FULLY locked into place. Pull on the strap to make certain you have a secure lock.
To Unlock: Press the button in the center of the strap attachment and remove the attachment from the strap button.
Note: If your Straplok brand Strap Retainer begins to stick or become difficult to operate, place a small amount of lubricant (like WD-40) into the locking pin, allowing it to lubricate the small ball bearings in the unit. Press down on the plunger several times to ensure that the lubricant is spread throughout the center of the plunger. Wipe off any excess lubricant before using.
